The cat was seen as a symbol of good luck and those it is attracted to are to have good fortune. In this office, it is all about making a fortune as you rise up the ranks. The politics of the office is another world of cloaks and daggers. The cat is an expert as that with their nocturnal vision, which means they cannot be snuck up on. As a hunter they know how to strike their enemies weak points assassinating their character with precision as to get a promotion. The cat is an independent creature so even without help they can still flourish and thrive, even on the office battlegrounds.
